Dr. Cormac MacDermott grew up in Galway, Ireland and graduated with joint honors in microbiology and chemistry from the University College Dublin. After receiving his dental degree and fellowship at the Royal College of Surgeons of England in London, he attended Columbia University College of Dental Medicine, where he completed his Doctorate of Dental Surgery.
He received his specialty training in pediatric dentistry at New York-Presbyterian Hospital. He currently teaches pediatric dentistry at Columbia University College of Dental Medicine as an associate professor.
Dr. MacDermott has an easygoing, gentle nature and a great sense of humor. His high level of skills and expertise make dental visits informative and enjoyable. His special interests include teaching, oral medicine, and supporting the New York Jets.
